Nivea "Cellular Perfect Skin" Perfecting Day Fluid

Hello Everyone,

Large pores are a matter of concern to everyone and we leave no stone unturned to reduce their appearance to get that even and smooth skin tone.

This concern has being well taken off by Nivea in their new "Cellular Perfect Skin" perfecting day fluid (perfektionierendes Tagesfluid). The perfecting fluid merges well into the skin and immediately evens out the skin surface.

The good thing about this fluid is that it is tailor made to suit your skin tone and colour. This is made possible through the tinted and doubly encapsulated micro pigments which adapts to your skin tone upon massaging the fluid on to your skin surface. As such, the fluid is greyish-biege (far left pic) toned but upon massaging, it readily matches to your skin colour (middle followed by right pic).

Moreover, it comes with SPF 15 to protect you against both UVA & UVB radiations.

Their typical Lumicinol & Magnolia extract provides long-lasting anti-ageing effect simultaneously improving new skin cell generation. The fine lines and wrinkles are also visibly reduced. The skin feels really soft and supple.

Apply this fluid on thoroughly cleansed skin before applying your moisturiser to get that pore-less and radiant finish. You may even use it as your makeup base or as a skin primer for that flawless and youthful you. And the pump dispenser makes the use and dosage effortless.

I enjoy using it as a makeup base. For the price of ca. 14 € for 40 ml product, it is a perfect and a bargain makeup base for me. The price definitely justifies and matches the quality expectations.

I recommend it whole heartedly to everyone craving for a better skin tone. From the entire NIVEA "Cellular Perfect Skin" series, this is one product, I would love to lay my hands on again and again.

NIVEA "CELLULAR PERFECT SKIN" Series

Hi Angels,

Today I'm going to talk about a new skin-care series launched by Nivea. It's kind of an extension to their  previous Anti-ageing series and is known by the name "CELLULAR PERFECT SKIN".

This series comes with four new products, guaranteeing a perfect and even complexion with a silky smooth feel to it. The product in this series also promise an immediate visible radiant yet long-lasting effect on the skin. Products in this series are enriched with Magnolia extract and Lumicinol to fight the first signs of ageing and improved cell regeneration.

Now coming to the individual products! The new NIVEA "CELLULAR PERFECT SKIN" range comprises of:

4) Nach Essenz (Night cream); 40 ml

In Germany the products are available in the local drugstore from January 2015.

I however, as a part of their Loyalty programme, received a packet consisting this newly launched series from NIVEA about a month ago. Since then I have been testing these products and my first impressions are very positive. Although I do find they are bit on an expensive side with estimated prices varying between ca. 13-14 euros. But then to fight ageing, one might have to shell a bit more than the regular.

All the products listed above have been reviewed by me separately in an individual product blogpost.

To know more about these products click on the product name!

I hope these reviews help you!

Nivea "Cellular Perfect Skin" Day Care Cream

Hi my Angels,

As promised in my last post, here's the review for the newly launched Nivea "Cellular Perfect Skin" day-care cream.

Now if you are thinking that it's just like any other moisturising cream, well then, you are right to an extend. But there's more to it. It's an Anti-Ageing cream with SPF (LSF, in german) 15, which indeed satisfies the basic sun protection requirement in first place, at least for winter months. For scorching summer heat, I and perhaps we all do need a minimum of SPF 30.

Nivea's new formulation comprising of Lumicinol and Magnolia extract supports the skin's natural functions on cellular level and improves the radiant power. This indeed reduces the visibility of wrinkles and fine lines. Apparently, it also boosts skin's cell renewal thereby providing an improved skin-tone.

This white cream in itself is very soft and light in texture which definitely translates on your skin too. Honestly speaking, I was skeptical if such a light texture would work on my dry skin or not. But this new innovation from the house of Nivea took me with a surprise and proved my thoughts of using a heavy and fatty creams (like the original blue potted Nivea cream!) for dry skin wrong. Although, I do need to take a tad-bit more than the usual amount (you know the size of hazelnut theory! :-P). I'm impressed how it left my skin feeling smooth and not even a bit greasy even after wearing it throughout the day.

This new formula also has light reflecting micro-pigments which caters to glow-y, fresh and healthy skin. This is an instant phenomena! I mean as soon as you massage in the cream, that lost glow (apparently!) kicks back in for the refreshing and youthful you. See the pic on the right!

After consistently using it for a month, I'm appreciating how my skin texture has improved. As far as the wrinkles goes, I don't have them yet. And those fine lines that had started to make their presence felt, are now diminished.

All in all, it's a great all in one nourishing and moisturising cream for a youthful skin. BUT...!!!

Yup, with so much of positivity there's still a 'BUT' entirely because of the price range for 50 ml of this wonder cream. At ca. 14 euros, it is expensive for a drugstore product! And if you compare to other high end brands, then it's definitely a bargain.

From my side, "I recommend it whole heartedly" to every women/men craving for skin youthfulness.

Nivea "Cellular Perfect Skin" Correcting Eye Cream

Hello Angels,

In continuation to my previous posts about the Nivea "Cellular Perfect Skin" series, this post is about the correcting eye cream, aptly a part of this range.

Now this eye cream is not like the usual white or rosy moisturising eye creams available in drugstores worldwide. But it's a tinted eye cream much like a BB cream, I would say.

The consistency is quite thick for an eye cream that I have used so far. It's somewhat in between a concealer and a moisturiser. But this is when it comes out of the tube. However, it does glide on smoothly when you tap or gently massage it in. And it conceal away the darkness around the eyes quite impressively.

Packaging wise, just a normal tube but with a silicon-y applicator tip instead of a regular nozzle. Which I don't like in first place. I have never tried to directly apply through the applicator tip. I would rather squeeze out a little amount on the back of my hand and then apply it onto my eyes. Again a matter of taste and choice, I guess!

Nivea with this product, claims to reduce the swelling around eyes but I doubt. At least in my case, I didn't see a massive difference (not that I have super swelled up eyes  :-P). However, it does reduce the appearance of my fine lines after consistently using it for over 4 weeks.

On the days, when I don't have full face makeup on, I prefer to use this correcting eye cream in conjunction with my regular eye gel/creams (swelling, if any, reduces better) to get that fresh & energised look. This correcting eye cream totally justifies it's role (alone as well) and make you look more awake even on dull mornings. ;-)

Price wise, it's again (like other products of this series) costs ca. 13 € for 15 ml of the product. Apparently, for a tinted eye cream, it's way too expensive for me. I would rather invest this amount in a good concealer instead opting for NIVEA's "Cellular Perfect Skin" correcting eye cream.

However, I do recommend it to everyone who prefer to wear a tinted eye cream over a proper concealer or those who don't wear makeup on everyday basis.

Next up, is my review about Nivea "Cellular Perfect Skin" Tagesfluid (Daily fluid)

DIY "Rose Petals Lip Scrub"

Hello Angels,

Welcome back! And as promised here is my recipe to Rose Lip Scrub. So without wasting anymore time, here are the instructions :-)

ROSE- SUGAR LIP SCRUB:

  1. Crush the rose petals using pestle-mortar
  2. Add a half teaspoon of sugar and a few drops of lemon juice
  3. Mix them together and tada, lip scrub/exfoliator is ready to use. Preserve it in an air tight container.

Use it as often as you wish because it is a very mild exfoliator.

Now next time you receive Roses, you know what you have to do with them once they begin to dry & die. Till them enjoy the beautiful sight!

I shall see you very soon with another interesting post.

Keep Smiling :-)

Skincare DIY: Rose Water

Hello Angels,

Past few weeks have been pretty tiring and I couldn't find time to blog. But now I'm back with a DIY skincare that revolves about ROSES.

Roses in every colour are loved by everyone. But did you know that Roses also impart health benefits too. Yup, my dear, since ancient times rose water and oil have been part of probably every Grandma's beauty secrets. Here is a quick guide to it's benefits:

1) Rose oil has anti-inflammatory properties and hence rose water has been used to treat irritated & over-heated skin.

2) It is a gentle but a great cleanser and removes oil & dirt thoroughly from clogged pores.

3) It also acts as an astringent. Applying rose water after steaming tightens capillaries, reduces redness and blotchiness.

4) Roses are a powerful mood enhancer. So say goodbye to the feelings of anxiety and promote emotional wellbeing. A great stress buster!

And today, I have a very easy 2-in-1 DIY using the beautiful red roses. So let's get started with the preparation of fresh Rose water.

ROSE WATER:

  1. Take Roses and separate the individual petals. Wash the petals thoroughly
  2. Place them in a pan filled with water. Make sure all the petals are properly immersed in water.
  3. Cover the pan with a lid and boil on low flame till the water is of the colour of petals.
  4. Remove from heat and leave it to cool down.
  5. Strain the coloured water and refrigerate it.
  6. Keep the strained petals separate to make rose petals lip scrub.

Use the cold rose water to quickly freshen your face. Spray or rub it on your face before going to sleep and get rid of impurities like oil or dirt overnight. You won't need night creams anymore ;-)

Or add it to your facial masks to get that instant glow afterwards.

Eat, Sleep, Makeup and Repeat: Makeup Revolution Pro looks palette

Hey beauties,

I'm here again with another colour bursting review. By now you might have guessd it and if not this is what I am talking about. It's the Makeup revolution's Pro looks eyeshadow palette by the name "Eat Sleep Makeup Repeat".

This eyeshadow palette has some interesting mix of colours from bright red to Pink & fuchsia, Emerald green to neon yellow, deep blues to purples. And not to mention, it has three highlighter (Rave on, Rave off and Repeat again) shades which differ only in the intensity of the shimmer.

On one side you have 'Rave on' which is frosty silver-white shade, whereas 'Rave off' is a shimmery white (aptly a silver tone). And last but not the least 'Repeat again', which just led me speechless is the glittery silver (heavy dose of sparkling glitter particles).  And look at that reddish-orange shade, so bright and cheerful. Seriously I'm in love with it!

See the swatches!

My My... I'm glad that I did laid my hands on this palette which offers a range of colours with textures ranging from mattes to frosty to shimmery eyeshadows. Again some of the matte eyeshadows are little more chalkier than others but can be worked around. The frost and shimmer eyeshadows are little bit on the creamier side. I believe the colour intensity of all the eyeshadows is build-able to desired level.

Since I'm not a sucker for packaging, I would say the glossy plastic casing with gold embossing is fine. However, while handling it does feel as a cheap packaging material. Another thing that disturbs me is the left behind fingerprints on the casing. Grrrr! I hate to see those impressions on my palettes but I must learn to live with it. Nevertheless, it comes with an additional sponge applicator brush which I won't be using. It's a same story with every other palette, I guess. And it has a mirror exactly the size of the palette, which is quite handy while doing makeup. Ohh and it does comes with this name sheet for each and every colour (makes life so easier! :-P).

At a price of 7.99 €, it isn't a bad option if you want some break from your regular neutrals and flesh toned eyeshadows. Especially for spring and summer seasons, I think it would be a great deal. In Europe, it's available on kosmetik4less website

Are you impressed ??? Then give it a try and grab yourself a deal!

Yves Rocher Riche Creme (Anti-Ageing night cream)

Hello my dazzling beauties,

You have grown a year older and for the first time in your life you have discovered that fine line turning into wrinkle. Or did you got those unknown spots that were never there a year back. Or do you feel your skin has lost elasticity and is looking rough like leather. Well you are dealing with "Skin-Ageing". Now there are plenty of things that cause this skin-loosening phenomenon. Sunlight, smoking, poor diet, excessive alcohol drinking and etc. But the question is how can we just avoid these adverse effects. It is really possible to avert ageing. Ohhh Well....not completely (it's your b'day present as you age :-D) but as they say you can definitely delay it. BUT HOW????

First of all leading a healthy life and eating a balanced diet.

And Secondly, get hold of anti-ageing skincare products as early as possible. By this I definitely do not mean that you start lathering up your skin and body at sweet 16 with anti-ageing products. ;-) But just at the first glimpse of signs of ageing. You know "Prevention is better than cure" and this phrase hold true also for skincare.

And off-lately, I'm flattered by an awesome anti-ageing night cream from Yves Rocher. Now those of you who follow me on instagram, knows what I'm talking about.

So here's the deal! This cream consists of 30 plant oils. Seriously, I have never ever seen or heard of any cream containing so many oils. And for this reason it is enormously nourishing even with a teeny-weeny bit. Even with so much oil content it doesn't feel greasy. Well initially, it does but when you really massage it into the skin, it's all absorbed and my skin just felt so soft like that of baby's bum. The formula of the cream works brilliantly overnight and I wake up with a bright and fresh skin. NO oiliness the next morning. And all I do to look more awake is to wash the face with cold water. I have been using it for past 3.5 weeks and I do feel the change in my skin texture.

Now I know you'll might be interested in those 30 plant oils. SO here's a direct pic of the packaging.

However, this night cream does contain parabens, perfume and paraffin. Hence, if you are allergic to these or in general avoid these, then this is not meant for you.

For me, so far it's worth a applause but no commitments yet. ;-) It is available at Yves Rocher online shop and is priced at 32 € for 100 ml (current offer!!)

Time to say Bbye but I'll be back soon with more news & reviews. Subscribe for regular updates!!

Baby Clothing: Ernsting's Family Haul

Hey beauties,

Today I have a very special post as it revolves around my baby's first birthday celebration. Yeaahhh, in exactly 4 weeks time, it will be so far that my baby will turn 1 and ladder up to being a toddler. No more an infant! And we are all set to make it ultra special. And the first thing, I could do or let me just put it this way; I must do is to buy clothes.

And seriously guys, I don't know how it is in other countries but in Germany it is kind of difficult to find colourful baby dresses at a reasonable prices. For some reason, here the baby boys are dominated with all shades of blue colour and girls with pinks. I hate this classification! I mean baby's world need to be colourful and so should be the clothes. And the one shop that I truly rely on for some burst of colourful and pattern-outfits is my fav "Ernsting's Family".

So here's quick look at the Haul!

In the pic below are 4 undershirts and one normal cotton full sleeves shirt with striped bands in front (ahh..you can see that!! ;-))

And the Jacket below is so soft, fluffy and cosy. I just love it! Other than these I bought 2 jeans and one cotton pants (blue coloured with elastic waistline). Jeans are fitted with elastic bands and can be adjusted around waist fur optimal fit.

P.S. All items were picked from Sale and in sizes 86/92 suitable for babies from 1.5 years to 2 years. I prefer to buy a size larger (especially jeans) than the actual size of my son. This way it's not only economical but also spare me from buying outfits every three months. You do know how fast babies grow out of sizes!

Tip: Plan in advance and try to buy outfits during off-season to save money. I would buy jackets and sweaters in winter sale for the next season and similarly summer clothes during the summer sale. Of course not always but most of the time. Trust me it saves a lot of money. Also if you tend to like some pattern and print which is available only in larger size, then go ahead, buy it for the season yet to come and be uniquely styled. :-)

Hope you enjoyed this little tour.

I shall see you soon with another interesting post!

Till then .....KEEP SMILING! :-)

"For Your Beauty" Facial peeling Pad

Hey dearies,

A few week back I received my blogger box from drugstore Rossmann with such incredible products. One such product was this facial-peeling pad from the brand for your beauty. For those of you unaware of the brand for your beauty, it is the house brand of Rossmann and offers a wide range of beauty and skin-care tools.

Most of the times I refrained from buying the tools from their brand, especially make-up brushes. But that's not what I should be discussing, right!

So coming straight to the point!

A Facial-peeling pad, is something which we all (kind off) require every single day to get rid off the dirt and dead skin. At least, I do need it for my combination skin and this pink-coloured (feminine it is!) silicon pad with minute yet very soft bristles serves the purpose completely. It is very gentle on the skin and the fine fibres removes the dead skin effectively while stimulating blood circulation simultaneously.

It should be used on the well moistened skin and gently massaging in circular motion for a couple of minutes (say 5 minutes to be precise!). However, best results are achieved in combination with a cleansing product. I use it generally with face wash-gel or sometime with cleansing milk. This peeling pad has a small holder at the back side which makes it easier to grab and fix it in between fingers for a proper massage. Also for it's super mini and practicle size, you my take it on any journey. It's so small that it will fit in your pocket as well! ;-)

Ever since I own this, it is my constant companion for daily skin-care routine. Unfortunately, I could not quote any price range as it was sent to me as a gift. However, once I get hold of price I'll update it here.

Till then I wish you all a healthy and glowing skin!

Keep smiling! :-)

Home Remedy: Say no to cold and sore throat

Heya,

It's winter and with snow, wind and rains, its getting even more cold. For some it may be the best time of the year but people like me freeze even in a warm house. ;-) And I catch cold just like that! Trust me I hate to get sick especially with cough & cold. Also with a baby at home, I can't really afford to get sick. I have to be constantly moving and be healthy to enjoy every moment (special) with my dearest family.

For those of you who are on the same platform as me, here's a quick home remedy to prevent & cure common symptoms of cold. This home remedy is a concoction largely based on the Ayurveda and ingredients can be easily found in any indian kitchen/ asian stores.

Ingredients:

Ginger (1/2 inch)
Black peppercorns (12-15)
Honey (1 tsp)
Water ( 1Tsp)

A Mortar-Pestle or a similar equipment

Preparation:

Crush the black peppercorns in a Mortar-pestle to a fine powder.
Add the ginger piece in the same pestle and crush and grind the two together. The juices will now start separating
Add a tablespoon of water and again grind for a minute.
Filter the syrup in a clean jar/bottle.
Add a teaspoon of honey and your concoction is ready.

How to use it:

Take a teaspoon of this concoction and let it sit for a few seconds on throat before gulping it down.
If you have a heavy cold or flu like symptoms, drink a teaspoon of concoction 4-5 times a day.
If you have a mild cold, take it 2-3 times a day.
If you are just suspecting cold or just at the onset of cold, take a teaspoon and observe the symptoms in the next 2-3 hours. If the symptoms still persist, treat it as for the mild cold.

Also, don't forget to drink a lot of water throughout the day to prevent dehydration that might occur due to ginger.

Seriously guys, this remedy provides instant relief. Last year I had a very bad flu and took this 5 times a day for straight 3 days and I cured my flu within a span of a week. Since then, I take it at the slight onset of cold symptoms like frequent sneezing, coughing, running nose or body pain.

This remedy works better than most of prescribed medicines. My entire family swear by this remedy.

Definitely try this out! I guarantee you an instant relief. :-)

DIY: Multi-purpose container/holder

Hello there,

It's me again with a super easy DIY. This DIY is all about getting your stationaries in place or shall I say a decorative stand for your candles or even better what if it serves as your cosmetic brush holder. Well, well, well....for me it's a multi purpose stand, holder or whatever you want to name it. Currently, I am using it to place my jumbo candle that was my birthday gift. Here's a pic for you guys!

And since you have had a look at the picture, any guesses what it is made of ?? Uhhh...

Ahaaa..looks like someone got it right! Yeah baby, it's that "tin container" which you have just emptied after eating your nuts.

So quickly, here what you need for this easy-peasy DIY Multi-purpose holder.

1) A tin container (any size will do)
2) A gift wrapping paper
3) A Pair of scissors
4) Glue stick
5) Some ribbons for decoration

HOW TO:

1) Measure the length of the tin container and cut the wrapping paper accordingly

2) Glue the wrapping paper on the tin container. Make sure that the edges are clean.

3) Now decorate the container with ribbons as you may want. I chose to attach 4 bow-knots followed by wrapping a pink ribbon just in the centre of the container.

And tadaaa.... our beautiful decorative container is ready. Store you pencils, pens, brushes or like me give your candles a beautiful home.

And what good about this DIY is that even you kiddos can make these and plenty of them!

Now it's time to say goodnight and I shall see you with some other interesting post soon.

Till then..HAVE FUN & KEEP SMILING :-)

Review: "Makeup Revolution" baked vivid highlighter

Hey beauties,

A healthy natural looking glow is what we all want while applying make-up. For that purpose we need a good highlighter. Now you all know, there are zillions of highlighter from different cosmetic companies are available in the market and it gets really difficult to choose the one appropriate for you. There are some of you who won't budge from their regular MAC's and THE BALM "Mary Louminizer's". And there are some beauties on budget who can't really afford to go that far off and spend a ton and just for them I have this review about the baked vivid highlighter from the house of Makeup Revolution cosmetics.

I had ordered it from the online shop kosmetik4less.de in the shade "golden lights". However, there are two more shades to choose from, namely, Peach lights and pink lights with peach and pink undertones respectively.

Coming to golden lights!

Well in the pan it appear as a pearly white pressed powder with fine golden shimmer particles. It feels like satin and is quite good pigmented. You may use to highlight your inner corners of eyes, under brow bone (if you like shimmer there!) or you may even use it as an eyeshadow to add an extra bit of drama and oomph on your eyes.

Here are the swatches.

The one on the very left is just a single layer, in the middle are two layers and on the right is thrice the effect. So yo can see, it's easily build-able to give the optimal luminosity to your high points. I usually go with layering it twice!

It has a fairly good longevity with lasting up to 5-6 hours and afterwards I just took off my makeup. On my warm skin tone, it does wonders and that too at a small price of 3.79 € for 7.5 g of product. At present it's my constant companion and use it every single day I wear make-up. Honestly, after having it, I don't find the urge to buy the higher end highlighters.

I recommend it highly to all you lovely beauties who are just freshers on the makeup side as well as to those who want to add on some more glamour to their collection. And my budget beauties, no I'm not forgetting you at all. You won't ever regret buying it...Trust me! :-)

Homemade Natural Scrub with Orange Peels

Hey beauties,

I hope you all are in best shape and gearing up for the weekend. Finally, a time to say bye to the busy week and to welcome the chilled out days of the week. I love to pamper myself on weekends with relaxing warm bath and exfoliating my skin. And since the weekend is approaching, I thought of sharing one of my favourite face scrub using orange peel which can be made very easily at home.

This orange peel scrub is nothing new to me and I have been using since my childhood. After eating oranges we used to rub the peels (the orange side) on the entire skin (face, hands, legs etc.). I was introduced to this beauty treatment by my mother but at that time it was more of a play with orange peels rather than focusing on the beauty aspect. And years later, I swear by it and it really does wonders.

But do you know, why orange peels?

Firstly, they are the powerhouse of vitamin C which protects skin from free radical damage. It reduces acne and provides healthy glow. Yes my dear, orange peels contains more vitamin C than the fleshy part.

Secondly, the citric acid in the peels is a great exfoliator and helps brighten skin. And lastly, it contains minerals like calcium, potassium and magnesium which aids in healing of dry, itchy and flaky skin, preserving moisture thereby providing healthy glowing skin.

So my dearies, you may choose to buy readymade orange peel powders or you may start collecting those peels after eating the flesh to get the double benefit.

Here's what you need to do:

To Prepare the Powder

1) Collect the orange peels from at least 2 oranges and dry them. Don't sun dry the peels to prevent loss of essential nutrients from the peels. Depending on the climate of the place you live, it might take from a couple days to a week.

2) Make sure the peels are completely dried. The peels at this point will appear crisp and hard.
3) Grind the peels to a fine powder and store them in an air tight container for further use.

Preparation of Scrub

1) Mix a tablespoon of freshly prepared orange peel powder, honey and yoghurt and make a thick paste.
2) Apply it on your face or body and leave it for 5 minutes or till the scrub dries a little. Avoid contact with eyes!
3) Now start scrubbing your face gently in circular motions for a couple of minutes and then let it sit on for a another 2-3 minutes.
4) Rinse thoroughly with normal water and pat dry.
5) Follow up with your regular moisturiser and enjoy the healthy luminous glow.

For oily skin, you may use it 2-3 times a week. However, reduce it's use to 1-2 times a month for dry and itchy skin.

So, next time you eat oranges don't throw away the peels!

Review: "Blushing Hearts" I Heart Makeup

Hey beauties,

Last week I received my order from kosmetik4less.de. I have already posted a Picture of the products on my Instagram. I was super excited to try these new products and one of them was "Blushing Hearts", a triple baked blusher from the company "I Heart Makeup". This was the first time I actually bought the product from the brand "I Heart Makeup". Best to my knowledge, it is a sister brand of london-based make-up company "Makeup Revolution". Honestly speaking, surfing through their website, I just fell in love with the sweet heart-shaped packaging apart from the beautiful pink tones of the blusher. So, I decided to gave it chance and bought it.

SO here are the facts,

As you all can see the blusher came in a beautiful heart shape cardboard packaging in gold (at the bottom) and lovely pink (top) with gold detailing. It's an instant eye-catcher and I just love the packaging. But there is more to blusher than just packaging. The beautiful pink toned blush has three different shades of pink with varied intensities. Each one is pigmented enough and has a decent shimmer. Although, I believe pigmentation could be enhanced because for my warm skin tone, I really need to press into the blusher to get a that luminous appearance. But those of you are on the fairer side or with pink undertone, a light swipe may be enough for that glamorous and bright look.

Here's swatches for all the three individual shades (in day light).

You may use the shades independently or swirl around to get a flush of pink. For me it's the combination of all three that works wonder and gives that rosy colour on the cheeks which actually freshens and enlightens up the face.

Yahhhh my dearies, priced at 6.99€ for 10g, it's definitely a bargain for the quality of product you get. Also, from different platforms, I learnt that it is a dupe for "Two faced" blushes. In terms of packaging they do look quite similar. But I cannot provide you a direct comparison as I don't own the "Two Faced" blushes. And I don't think I need to invest ca. 30 € for quite sometime (guess so!).

All in all, I am glad to have this product in my vanity and ready to explore the whole world of "Makeup Revolution". I am sure I can definitely see some of their amazing products (like iconic palettes or the lipsticks). Well, as in when I grab them, I'll update you guys here.

Till then...Keep smiling! :-)

Review: Maybelline Jade "Dream Satin liquid" Foundation

Hey dearies,

I hope you all are doing well and enjoying weekend. Well, here in Germany it's evening now and we are gearing up for a new week starting tomorrow. And to rescue you from Monday blues (ahh..well for those who actually so), I have just the right review about a really great drugstore foundation from the brand Maybelline.

Honestly speaking, I was never fond of Maybelline products until last two years and I'm truly captivated by the range and quality of products they have introduced in the last two years. And that too at a very affordable price range (very important factor!). One such product that caught my attention was this foundation by the name of "Dream Satin liquid". Initially, I wasn't sure to buy this as I was in constant conflict for some little pricey, widely reviewed & loved foundations from other known brands. But testing it from the shelf, I liked the soft, creamy, mousse-like texture with a satin finish (as the name claims!). And hey...that's what I was looking for my foundation. Besides it's availability in 5 different shades at my local drugstore gave an option to mix-up two shades to create my own shade. But good lord saved me and I found my true shade in "NUDE 21".

I LOVE IT because
  • the air-whipped liquid glides on efficiently and provides a perfect coverage (medium to full)
  • it feels very light on skin
  • it's ultra-blendable and super easy to build up
  • it gives a satin-luminous finish (read: not shiny)
  • and provides almost poreless finish (I've big pores around my T-zone!)
  • it's oil & fragrance free and suits best to my combination skin
  • And most importantly, very easy to clean up and no clogging of pores

CONCERN
It doesn't contain SPF.

HOW I USE IT
Unlike many other foundations, It works best when applied using fingertips. It almost feel like if I'm applying a thick moisturiser. No brushes or beauty blenders required until and unless you prefer it otherwise.

PRICE AND AVAILABILITY
In Germany, it's available in drugstores like dm, Rossmann, Müller and Parfumeries like Douglas. Or else, you may purchase it online through amazon. It costs ca. €8 for 30 ml of product but price may vary depending on where you buy it. Also, depending on the country you live in you might also get various shade options.

FINAL VERDICT
All in all it's a very good foundation considering the coverage, application, quantity and price. I have been using it for my combination skin for about 2 months and have no complaints whatsoever. It is the foundation that I grab on daily basis and a little goes a long way as you need only a pump and half for an even skin tone. For anyone, who has a clean & clear skin and doesn't want to cake up their faces with heavy foundations, it's worth your attention. At the same time those with little imperfections might build up the foundation for better coverage without being looking cakey or artificial.

I hope this review will be helpful to some of you! I shall see you soon with a new product review and many more events. For updates subscribe to my blog, follow on facebook, instagram or via bloglovin'.

DIY: Easy Wall Decor

Hey you beautiful people out there,

Hope you all are doing great! I am also doing great and busy in decorating four walls of my new abode. And while thinking of new ideas which will not be pricey at all, I came up with this very easy DIY using a couple of beautiful greeting cards that were sent to our family on some occasions.

This way we'll be able to cherish beautiful memories and would be able to do true justice to feelings of relatives and well wishers. And really, it turned out to be really fun idea.

SO here's my quick guide to make a simple yet attractive wall poster/frame.

You'll require the following items:

  • Cardboard
  • Wrapping paper
  • Greeting cards (5-6)
  • Scissors
  • Glue stick/fevicol

HOW TO MAKE:

  1. First punch in the holes on the back of the cardboard and stuck in a decorative thread or lace through which you may want to hang on your frame.
  2. Then cover the cardboard with wrapping paper. This is just to make a background a more pretty.
  3. Place the greeting cards to make a pattern. It's perfectly OK if the cards doesn't fit the cardboard.
  4. For this pattern, I have glued the cards only half-way on the board to make an unique uneven pattern.
  5. Satisfied with the pattern, Glue your cards on to the wrapped cardboard. Make sure to glue the folds of the cards (in case of greeting cards)
  6. Place a heavy flat object on the back side of the frame and leave it to dry for minimum of 30 minutes.
Hurray! Your wall decor frame is ready and is looking awesome. You may increase the length or width of the frame.
